Group Classes

I do not currently have any group classes scheduled.  I do have plans to offer a Training Games class very soon.  This class will teach all the basics of any standard general adolescent class, however we’ll be teaching through a series of fun games. Keep your eyes on this space or email me to be notified when I confirm the date and time.

The classes I sometimes offer are:

Puppy Kindergarten & Safe Socialization
For puppies under 4.5 months old.
5 Weeks + 1  private 60min in home lesson $160*

Socialization is more than just about meeting people and dogs, it is about putting your dog in a position to be comfortable and confident in his world.  We will begin with a private lesson where you and  your dog will be introduced to the basic concepts of learning.   During classes, we will begin training foundation obedience behaviors, with a focus on handling, play biting/nipping, and other common puppy issues.  Each week, time will be dedicated to socializing the puppies in a safe environment.  There will be additional time for socialization after class during our Puppy Socials.  Classes are open enrollment and limited to 7 puppies.  Probably the most important thing you can do with your dog is take this class…. the lessons learned will last a lifetime.

Puppy Socials
For puppies under 4.5 months old
Every week: $5 (free for those enrolled in Puppy Class)

There is nothing more important than getting your dog socialized as early as possible, and with this low cost socialization group you can do so in a safe, controlled environment.  Proper play behaviors will be discussed and we will talk about what you can do to help your dog learn good manners at an early age.  Studies show that at just 18 weeks of age a critical period of socialization is ending, so don’t delay!

Adolescent & Adult 101: Behavior Essentials

For dogs over 4.5 months old.
6 Weeks + 1 60min in home lesson – $215*
This training class is designed to introduce you and your dog to core behaviors such as Sit, Down, Stay, Come, and Loose Leash Walking.  You will learn how to elicit new behaviors from your dog and how to make them reliable for the outside world.

“Be With Your Dog” Weekly Classes
For dogs over 4.5 months old.
Every week.  1st Class Free.  $10 each class thereafter.
The focus of this fun, low pressure class is to learn how to accomplish tasks together with your dog in real life situations.  Each week, a simple obstacle course will be set up in a public place.  You will use your mind (and not your leash!) to connect with your dog and accomplish various tasks.   You will be working through real life distractions, teaching you and your dog how to cope with the distractions of the real world.  For all skill levels.

Leash Reactivity/Leash Aggression Weekly Classes
4 Week Class. $175
During this weekly one hour clinic you will be given techniques for not only managing your dog’s behavior, but also training your dog to become less leash reactive/aggressive.   Class is limited to 4 dogs, as each participant will receive individual attention.

Fearful/Shy Dog Weekly Classes
4 Week Class.  $175
Is your dog shy or fearful of people, other dogs, or objects?  This class is designed to help your dog overcome these fears in a way that is supportive, constructive, and safe.

Food & Resource Guarding Classes
4 Week Class. $175
If your dog growls, snaps, bites, or displays any aggression towards people when in possession of food, toys, or any other resource, then this class is for you.  You will learn and practice a protocol for making your dog comfortable sharing valuable objects with you, as well as learn what to do when your dog comes in possession of an item he/she shouldn’t have.
