$5 Puppy Class
$5 Puppy Class
Time:
11:00 am
Socialization is more than just about meeting people and dogs, it is about putting your dog in a position to be comfortable and confident in his world. During classes, we will begin training foundation obedience behaviors, We will address housebreaking, handling, play biting/nipping, and other common puppy issues. There will be a focus on learning how to get your puppy’s attention in distracting environments. Each week, time will be dedicated to socializing the puppies, and there will be an optional 30min socialization period after class. Classes are a la carte and you may attend as many as you like, provided your dog meets the age and vaccination requirements listed below. Pre-registration is required! Classes are limited to 8 puppies. Requirements: Pups must be between 10 and 18 weeks of age. Dogs must have received 2 DHLPP vaccinations, one of which must have been administered after 8 weeks of age but at least 7 days prior to the Class.

"Be With Your Dog"
"Be With Your Dog"
Time:
7:00 pm
The focus of this fun, low pressure class is to learn how to accomplish tasks together with your dog in real life situations. Each week, a simple obstacle course will be set up in a public place. You will use your mind (and not your leash!) to connect with your dog and accomplish various tasks. You will be working through real life distractions, teaching you and your dog how to cope with the distractions of the real world. Just participating in one of these classes can go a long way and be a great first step before attending Basic Manners or Obedience classes. While it is useful for your dog to know some basic obedience behaviors, it is not required and these classes are open to any dog at any skill level… your dog doesn’t even have to know “Sit”. We will NOT be teaching obedience behaviors in this class, but we will be introducing skills that will help you connect with your dog. The tasks will be adjusted to meet the skill level of each dog attending. Please come ready to have fun, leave your attitudes at home and be accepting of all! This class is NO PRESSURE.
